This poem is about the power of prayer. In my own faith tradition we can utilize the symbol of Christ’s cross to better grasp transcendental realities. The vertical line of Christ’s cross represents our own individual prayers to God while the horizontal line of the cross represents our collective prayers as a community of faithful Christians, both living and deceased. Many of us pray with our hands held together...that thing you do with your hands. Pray often my dear brothers and sisters!
