We all exercise faith in something. Many in God, many in politics. Caring for creation, caring for our home - this was mandated in the beginning - as those familiar with God’s revelation will attest. A reading of Genesis 1:28 can be the passage that brings God’s word to you. May you begin to live in heaven on earth now.
I reworked this 5-7-5 Haiku giving it a new title and substituting the word “it” with “Earth” in the 7 (syllable) line for added clarification. Political Correctness Police may still not like the “man” (meaning of course male and female as in “mankind” but that is how the Word was delivered to us in sacred scripture). Pope Francis has taken a lot of heat here lately from conservatives who believe his focus on keeping our world (environment) clean places him too far to the left...the motivation behind this short piece. How do you perceive the word “subdue?”
