  1. This 5-7-5 Haiku could be exclaimed by both sides of the aisle in American politics today. Though we are hearing lots of these references today, it is certain among all sides I think: there have been heinous atrocities that should never, ever be repeated. Early on, there were those multitudes whom feared the label of “uncivil” and would rather have sided with that which was deemed “politically correct” at the time. Were they complicit to the later horrors of Nazi Germany?

“In the early-to-mid 20th century, the phrase "politically correct" was used to describe strict adherence to a range of ideological orthodoxies. In 1934, The New York Times reported that Nazi Germany was granting reporting permits "only to pure ‘Aryans’ whose opinions are politically correct."” Source Wikipedia
